Thermal Treatment and Soil Recycling
Modern technology offers several proven methods for the processing and recycling of contaminated soils. Thermal desorption results in a clean, stabilized material that may be used in a number of applications, including the manufacture of brick, cement or other building materials. Each truck load of contaminated soil is loaded under the supervision of a United Waste Services project coordinator. Trucks transporting the soil are weighed and a manifest is generated which assures accurate billing and accurate tracking. When the soil is delivered to the appropriate processing plant and treated, the generator receives a certificate of recycling or destruction. This document is final evidence and proof that the contaminated media has been disposed of in a proper and permanent manner.
